Woss Camp
Water Tower


the tower from Woss camp of the Canadian Logging Railroad in the Nimpkish Valley in central Vancouver Island BC.

The tower was used till the 1970's and many thanks to Tom Beaton for drawing this tank so a little piece of logging history could be saved in model form.

Engine House


Reminiscent of the early days of railroads the RS Laserkits Single Stall Engine House and Side Shop is a blend of several of the features seen on many of the short lines, logging bases, and mines throughout the country. These structures allowed typical maintenance and storage for a wide range of locomotive and rolling stock services. These scenes are reflected in the older photographs of yesteryears railroads.

The Saw Filers Shack

This kit is based on one used by the Manary
Logging Co. in the 1920's.
It also could be used today as a flower-garden shop or Artist Studio and look great. All 20 of the front and side widows are laser cut as double hung and can be positioned in any open layout you want. The kit is supplied with skids
and all the parts are laser cut from micro plywood, the only parts not supplied are the cast detail parts

Logging Bunk House Car.

The camp bunk house kit is base on those found here in the pacific northwest in the early 1900s through the end of railroad logging. Most of these houses were build on skids then loaded on a flat car and taken to the log camp.
The kit is sizes to fit on a 36 ft. Flat car and is supplied with skids. The kit is cut from Micro plywood and the trim and widows are from sticky back veneer stock.
The roof material is glue down tar paper.

The Skid Shack

These little shacks were used by Weyerhauser at their McDonald-Vail camps. They had built over 90 of them. After the end of Railroad logging they were used as crossing shacks and storage shacks. Little loading docks like these have been used since

They service the industries that do not have access
to a siding so they can unload rail cars, semi trucks etc.
